Proposed change to Denominational Home to School Transport Policy
Staffordshire County Council is proposing to make changes to its discretionary school transport policy.
"... the County Council [have] begun consultation on changes to its discretionary school transport policies. The change proposed would see the phasing out of free transport currently given to some pupils on denominational grounds. If implemented, it would mean that all Staffordshire’s pupils would have the same entitlement to free transport to their nearest or catchment area school, if they live over the normal walking distance".
