18th June 2020
This week we have been trialling virtual face-to-face lessons with Y5 pupils who have wanted to take part. This has been happening through a link in google classroom which allows pupils to join a virtual meeting with a teacher. I am delighted that this has worked very well and we would like to try and extend this to other year groups.
Therefore, we are asking parents and pupils in year groups who have been unable to return to school (Y2, Y3 and Y4) whether they would like to take part in similar virtual lessons in the next few weeks. Pupils who are already in school in a key worker bubble will also receive the same input from a member of staff within their time on site and will therefore not need to join the virtual lessons.
If you would like your child to take part in the lessons, please email the school office (email@example.com) to register your interest. We would like to begin the lessons as soon as possible so please inform us of your interest by Monday 19th June at 4pm so we can organise groupings. This is a short return timeframe as we would like to start the lessons as soon as possible. Once groups have been established, you will receive a call from a member of school staff informing you how to join the lessons.
We are very much looking forward to working with children in this way and hope that they will also enjoy seeing members of school staff in a virtual lesson environment. Google classroom will continue alongside the face to face lessons.
Thank you for your support.
